LIGHTWAVE C65 by Ker Design

The LightWave C65 designed by Ker Design is a luxurious new cruising yacht that combines all the home comforts with genuine sailing performance. It is clear that the design teams are enthusiastic about proper sailing and they have made a yacht for those that share their enthusiasm for the feel of wind and water. She is a truly stunning vessel and features flawless accommodation for 6 in three luxurious cabins and crew cabin for two.

The LightWave C65 finds the right balance between elegant design, spacious accommodation and fast sailing. It has a perfectly formed hull with a steep stern, long water line of almost 18 metres and a draught of 2.65 meters (with a long keel option of 3.5 metres) ensuring steady and efficient handling.
A 6.5 tonne keel provides the righting moment to balance the powerful sail plan and is engineered with a steel frame to provide strong and efficient connection to the hull and rig.

The Hull is constructed of FRP using the latest vacuum infusion technology. This reduces weight and improves FRP quality and strength. Use of Vinyl Ester Resins ensures protection against osmosis and ensures a long life.

The vessel management system uses the latest in connected technology to make controlling the boat and its systems simple. The sail handling systems make short- handed sailing almost effortless. The cockpit with dual control stations has split tables and remains completely unlittered, free and clean.

There is a lounge area in front of the steering pedestals, and it has two cockpit tables where you can enjoy leisurely meals; these can be lowered and transformed into two large sunbathing areas. Alternatively, you can choose the two sunbathing areas on either side of the broad companionway to enjoy the sunshine. A barbeque and wet bar are integrated into the broad bench behind the steering pedestals. This represents the culinary centre of the cockpit, whether at port or at anchor.

Two keel versions are available: 2.65 meters or 3.5 metres draft.

The LightWave C65 is a truly stunning vessel and features flawless accommodation for 6 in three luxurious cabins and crew cabin for two. Dark and elegant or bright and friendly, the furnishings give the room the atmosphere you want – and an exclusivity you can see and feel.

You can sense something exceptional because everything has been made with dedication and absolute precision. Each look gives the yacht its own special character.
